Uday social development society is an initiative of Holy Spirit sisters (Pavitra Atma Sangh – PASS) which envisages that every human being experience dignity, peace and equal rights particularly in the operational areas of Uday. Uday has completed 15 years, adopting right based approach, for empowering the marginalised communities.

Situated in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Uday is implementing program in Bhopal, Khandwa, Indore and Jhabua districts in Madhya Pradesh. Works in 6 units in Aulia, Sirpur, Dharampuri, Khandwa and Badidhamini
Focus Area of Uday –
Women Empowerment through capacity building programs for Federation and Literacy for women
Improving quality of education for integral development of children
Awareness program for cleanliness drive.
Multi Skill training for youth especially girls.
Awareness generation on social, women and children related legislations: Right to Information Act, Right to Education Act 2009, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, Sexual harassment at work place, Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, Child Labor Act, POCSO and other related legislation.
Organizing domestic workers through advocacy, legal support and vocational training.
Providing additional support to the Integrated Child Development Scheme in the villages and slums
Work for the betterment of Dalit and tribal community and their rights
Prevention of Violence against Women & Children (PVWC and cases, involvement in ongoing campaign etc.)
Collaborating with Local Self Governance such as Municipality and Panchayats
Training on Government development and welfare schemes
Increasing accessibility of community towards Government schemes to avail community entitlements.
