Our Provincial Jurisdictions in India

On March 25th, 1992, on the feast of the Annunciation, the foundation for the province of Divine Providence was laid. We commit ourselves to the mission of the Holy Spirit in Central India, striving to bring the transforming love of Christ to every heart.

Greetings from Divine Word Province, India East! Orissa was a region until 1995, and it was raised to the status of Province in 1995. We dedicate our lives and missions to the service of tribal communities, education of underprivileged youth, and healing the afflicted.

Welcome to the Divine Spirit Province – India North! The province serves across the richly diverse and vibrant states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya, and Mizoram. The region is known for its rolling hills, bamboo forests, and indigenous tribal communities, each with a unique cultural identity and language. The sisters live and minister among these communities, often in remote and challenging locations, embracing the spirit of intercultural living, dialogue, and mission.

Warm greetings from Divine Love Province! Rooted in Bangalore, Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, our mission is an outpouring of God's Divine Love. Through Streevani, educational colleges, hospitals, and pastoral care, we accompany the people of God.
